How does Snaggle Foot train me?
Our training course combines both online and in-person training at our new headquarters in Breckenridge, CO. Once we sign the Franchise Agreement, we will arrange a time with you to introduce our online scheduling and invoicing program. The online training portion usually lasts a few hours and then from there we will provide you with your own practice account so you can better familiarize yourself with the program before attending our in-person training.
We believe in building strong relationships with our franchisees, which is why we insist on in-person training. The training course is taught directly by the company's founder and utilizes videos, classroom instruction, and field training. Included with the training course is a certification in Pet CPR & First Aid and an Accounting/Taxes 101 course. The training program, along with the manuals and instruction guides, are designed to teach you everything you need to know to run your franchise. If after the course you still need help or have questions, then we're at your service and will do everything we can to get you the help you need.
What about my coverage area? How is that decided?
One of the first steps in becoming a franchisee is to evaluate the market in your area. We will perform an in-depth feasibility study to evaluate the demographics of your community and then work together to map out a territory of about 60,000 qualified households. If there are no other Snaggle Foot franchises in your area, then you are free to work outside of your designated territory, without any penalties, fees, or additional royalties.
May I contact any of your current franchise owners to hear their experiences?
We feel it is important for you to talk directly with our franchisees as part of your decision-making process and encourage you to so. However, we would like to ask that you wait until after we have received your application. This way our franchisees know that they aren't disclosing sensitive information to uninterested parties or solicitors and can feel confident in sharing their experiences with you.
Do you offer discounts or incentives for new franchisees?
New franchise owners may qualify for one of our many franchise fee discounts. We offer discounts up to 30% for veterans, retirees, and persons living in one of our "highly desireable" franchise development areas. Ask your franchise representative about current promotions and how you may qualify.
How much does a franchise cost?
The estimated start-up cost of the entire Snaggle Foot franchise is between approximately $14,150 to $20,950 and varies between locations. This includes the franchise fee, training travel costs, supplies, insurance, and everything else needed to open your business.
.Are there any on-going royalties?
We have a royalty rate of 4% and an advertising obligation of 1.5% of your monthly net sales, with no minimum quotas or requirements. This means that if you choose to do the business part-time, then you won't have to worry about paying us any minimum monthly royalty payments!
Your monthly royalty payments go towards our full-time support system, unlimited website updates, graphic designers for customized advertisements, quarterly newsletters and conference calls, IT support, and at-cost supply ordering.
We use the 1.5% advertising obligation to re-invest into the growth of our franchises.
Does Snaggle Foot offer any financing or payment plans?
Yes we do. Qualified franchisees are able to finance a portion of the start-up costs through us. Please contact us for more information.
Can I do this with my spouse/best friend/business partner?
Yes! We provide training for up to two franchisees at no additional cost.
You look familiar. Were you once called Waggin' Tailz?
We were! In April of 2009 we decided to change our name to Snaggle Foot to distinguish our business from other pet businesses out there. We wanted to create a distinct, recognizable, and branded company image as we began to offer franchises across the country.
